Scot bought Duane Allman's 1957 goldtop Les Paul in 1977,
when these photographs were taken.

The gold finish had been stripped from the top,
but the rest of the finish on the guitar was original,
showing serial number 7 3312.

This composite says it all...
the classic picture of Duane and the goldtop,
with Scot's 1977 photo of the guitar on the bed,
and a trimmed shot of the fretboard overlaid in between.

		20 years later, Duane's guitar was refinished by Tom Murphy, genius behind the Gibson Historic Series...
